YIKES! Leaving Your Comfort Zone Again!?

Hi Friends,

I know what it feels like to have to constantly stretch out of your comfort zone. Sometimes it's like, "Oh Please, NOT AGAIN! I mean, haven't I had enough personal growth this past year?" During private coaching sessions and the workshops that I've been hosting recently, I've heard people just like you say things like:

  • What if I fail?

  • This could be so embarrassing.

  • I wouldn't want anyone to think that I am ______(too bold, too aggressive, too pushy, too smart, too much).

  • I really want to do that but first I need _______ (certification, qualification, permission, more experience, etc.).

  • I really want to try that but I'm afraid that _____ may be a more qualified candidate.

  • Anytime I try something new or different, everyone gets uncomfortable

  • I'm so tired of being criticized every time I make changes

When you find yourself saying some version of these comments, here is something important for you to remember:

As human beings, we are much more likely to be most harsh and critical of ourselves than we are of others. So it's our sense of self-worth that's at the heart of being able to be courageous, vulnerable and to step out of our comfort zones in order to grow and become more confident in who we are. -Brenè Brown

Anytime you take on a new challenge you have to get a little vulnerable.

THAT is when all the best growth happens.

Let me know what stretch you've been thinking of making and if I can help.-KM

As we rumble into 2022, friends, I'm now scheduling Dare to Lead trainings and coaching programs for corporations, organizations and individuals. The curriculum is based on the research of Dr. Brenè Brown. I've been a certified facilitator since 2017. I've noticed a significant increase in demand in the past two years and have realized that excellent leaders are embracing these important principles now more than ever.
